Hi we are Steve and Di In 2019 we decided to build a camper van and go travelling We purchased a 1 year old Peugeot boxer L4 H2 van and a year old damaged caravan We set about dismantling the caravan and put aside the parts we where going to fit in the van after a lot of measuring and trial fitting we started cutting holes in the van for roof vents windows etc next we insulated and lined the van fixing piping and wiring as we went next more holes for the toilet cassette and fridge vents. Solar panels tv aerial and wifi dome where fitted to the roof . Fresh and gray water tanks where fitted under the vehicle along with a bulk lpg storage tank . It was now time to fit the bed construct the shower/ toilet room fit the kitchen fit the blown air heating system the fridge, microwave, oven and hob unit and the kitchen sink . every thing was wired up and plumbing connected, a pair of leisure batteries where fitted , electric heated seats on swivels replaced the standard Peugeot items, decals and a bike rack was fitted and the front bumper was colour coded . we sent off the V5 to dvla for change to motor caravan and it was refused as in there opinon it did not look like a motor home despite meeting all there criteria,

it was passed on appeal and we where ready for adventure We sold up in England and moved to our property in France

Then the world shut down as Covid 19 took hold
